Meet Verena, the marketing manager at Scantraxx. With a lot of experience in the work field, she is one of the key persons within the record label. Let’s get to know the working life of our marketing manager!
How did you end up at Scantraxx?
Like a lot of other Scantraxx employees, I started out as an intern back in 2019. I moved to the Netherlands with the goal of working in the music industry, and with a love for Hardstyle, I was super excited when I got the internship.
After my internship, I finished up school and worked at Q-dance for a bit before the pandemic really hit, but luckily Scantraxx had a job opening for the position of Junior Marketer around the same time, and ever since, I’m back!
What does a typical workday look like for you?
I always start work at 8 a.m. In the first hour before most of my colleagues come, I do tasks that require focus, such as copywriting, answering emails, advertising, etc. I’m the most creative in the morning, so I like doing creative tasks such as coming up with new content or promo ideas. After lunch, we mostly go for a small ‘rondje’ with the team to get a fresh mind. In the afternoon, I create release plans, do content planning, do promo mails, and keep our website up-to-date.
We also have a lot of meetings, and I’m in constant contact with our artists to help them with any marketing-related questions, annoy them to send me content, or arrange and create content, interviews, and stuff like that with them. Scantraxx also sometimes hosts events (such as our two recent events during ADE), where I’m responsible for the marketing.
Together with Mika, our social media manager, and Roy, our creative, we come up with new content ideas and produce them together. We have regular meetings to brainstorm new ideas and see how we can implement them in the best way.
